The first full service dinner venue for chef Ryan Scott, Mason showcases a plethora of creative appetizers and small plates meant for sharing. Other highlights include a pizza oven, patio seating, gourmet soft serve ice cream, local beers on tap, and wines by the glass and bottle. Faux cowhide walls, wooden furnishings and natural materials contribute to an intimate and contemporary feel.
Chef Scott, a graduate of the California Culinary Academy, has cooked and learned in the kitchens of many of the country’s best chefs including Gary Danko. Outside of Mason, you may recognize him from his appearances on Top Chef, Food Rush, The Today Show and The Rachel Ray Show.
Mason is Scott’s third collaboration with acclaimed architect Jim Maxwell of Architects 2. Consulting on the pastry and bread side is Luis Villavelazquez, who has worked at Absinthe, and with Elizabeth Faulkner of Citizen Cake. Sommelier Gregory Condes, a friend from Scott’s time at Gary Danko, consulted on the beverage program.
